Congratulations to Mr. Don Fezell that car is a rocket and he always lets it hang out.
So who's going to be the first into the 7's with a stock eliminator car?? It's coming… |
Re: 8.50 158 stocker

Re: 8.50 158 stocker
On the "4 Days In May" video, Bobby DeArmond made the first nine second Stocker run, in May 2001. The same day, Harry Holton ran the quickest SS/AA run (SS/AH now) ever at 8.68. And Indy saw a SS/AAA of PB Candies run 7.859 My, how times change in a short period of time.

I had a chance to talk with Mr. Fezell at the Maple Grove Nat'l Event. He said his CJ is more aerodynamically stable than his Super Gas car with big tires and a spoiler. "A Cadillac" as he described it.
Yet another reason these cars are worth the money. |

So much faster is just another sign of the engine technology called "from the factory"
These cars are amazing. |
Re: 8.50 158 stocker
I was pitted next to an A/SA new Mustang run by a man who owns a company that works on a lot of those new Mustangs. JDM performance.
His car was very nice....all black and a 5.0 engine... He went 9.77 I believe on one run.... I assume this was a 4 valve dual overhead cam engine but that is just from looking at the valve covers and front of the engine....and the intake is more of a tunnel ram with a throttle body.....a big one....LOL |
