Good choice Mark. Never heard that version. Obviously I like it better than the dumb'ed down version ..
Supertramps "Crime of the Century" is in my 5 top albums off all. There isn't too many albums or CD's that you look forward to playing the entire thing. This is one such album. I'll pick a song that on a good system, is mixed superbly. Good impact, dynamic everything. And a good tune ...

Good post Mark on some local boys!.When Randy Bachman left the Guess Who in the early 70's,he formed BTO with Fred Turner.They were one of the hardest rockin' bands in the mid 70's.Every car guy had a BTO 8 track!.The band had a drag racing connection,Fred Turner was the flag starter at our local track in the mid 60's.This track may not be as well known as their others,but you can't mistake Fred's voice!...gsa612 https://youtu.be/QU0SwYK0vco

I'm gonna rough it up a little bit today. I always liked this song from Aerosmith. I've heard it Steve Tyler's favorite song of theirs.

Eddie, in post #3 ( first page), I sent out "Get The Led Out". If your a Zep fan, listen to them and their newest promo video I posted..It's a walk back in time .....We had six tickets second row back mid section at Midland Theater in Newark Ohio (seats 1700) and covid ruined it...These guys just sold out Red Rocks Theater right before the virus.. Get the Led out adds two more players so they can add all the over dubs. The original Led Zeppelin of course did not do that, so all their live appearances sounded "live". They had no way of putting one guitar or voice recordings on top of another one, like is done in the recording studio. These guys add two more people so the live appearance sounds EXACTLY like the album.They even have a back up singer. Its refreshing..

One of the many shocks to my mind about today’s younger generation came while I was waiting on my MH repair and in the waiting room they had this video playing. Twenty something walks in and says “who’s that?” My Lord, bad enough they don’t know history but....

Lets do a couple from Clapton off the record that made him famous. Listening to him and Dwayne Allman playing dual leads is quite a treat....

I know the feeling, and I did the same thing..Hard to remember what day it is in my world too ;-)

This should have been put up in the Deja Vu post.
Probably the shortest song on the album, but still a rocker;

Some songs are really implanted in your brain. The first time this song was played on the radio in the Columbus area was Q-FM 96. It was a Saturday afternoon in mid summer, the DJ was making a big speech about this upcoming, going to be a huge hit for Billy Thorpe song. The sky was pitch black, all the leaves were turned upside down and the sky looked so angry and wicked. Tornado watches were out. Thunder was busting and lightning was racing through the clouds. I was in the house alone and it was kind of spooky... and then this song came on.. Really set the mood for a song such as this … kind of like War of the Worlds … Thanks for the memory ..

We've heard quite a bit of "city rock" and Classic rock artists. I'll bet some of you guys still have the 8 tracks in the garage somewhere .

Hoping to see some other genres , too.

We're gonna mellow out just a bit now.
The Beau Brummels were a Beatle-esque mid 60's group that were partly responsible for ushering in the San Francisco Sound..
They re-formed in 1975 for a reunion album.
This song is a cover of one of their earlier hits, with a touch more acoustic and country added.. Probably what I like about it... ;-)

I've been towing my car to various tracks since the mid 70's,the closest one being 400 mi.away.I would leave before midnight and drive through the night.Like clockwork I would start to nod off around 3 to 4 am.This track (along with others over the years) was like 5 cups of coffee and a Red Bull!.I had it on 8 track,cassette,CD,and now on stick,depends what decade it was.It saved my azz a few times!...gsa612 https://youtu.be/Sm1q1XoN_Qo
