powdercoat flexplate

Let me ask the question here since NHRA has not responded. I purchased a new SFI 29.1 flexplate and it came in powdercoated. I was checking the spec for another reason, and I see that it specifies "No Powdercoat finish". Granted, there is no real tech inspection, but I don't need the hassle should it ever happen. Did the spec change?

Doubtful that would be an issue. It already has the decal. It was done by the manufacturer. however, I strongly advise sanding off any paint or powder coating at the crank bolts location: I have seen 2 chip off and then the bolts loosen up.
