I used the Powermaster Ultratorque starter PT# 9406 250# torque on my 427 High Riser. It has adjustable clocking and shims. Works fantastic. Tom Nolan

Steve&Horace Johnson,
Well I bought a Powermaster#9406 and pulled my 20 year old Tilton Super Starter out of my Fairlane race car& installed the powermaster and now my starter relay in the back of my car just clicks when I push the toggle switch. I'm using a Painless Wiring toggle module for all my electrical functions. My tilton seemed to be ok although a friend said it could be pulling to many amps. All I did was hook my battery cable to the powermaster am I missing something?

Starter relay should be really close to the starter. Like maybe on the firewall. Proper size battery cable. Always suspect anthing that says painless. Their switches are not up to my standards.

Did you jumper the starter solenoid from the hot to the S or start terminal?????

If a remote starter solenoid is used then they must be jumpered together..

Re: 427/428 ford fe's

I guess I am confused with hooking up my powermaster as the tilton starter I removed only has the battery cable hooked to it. So what do I hook the terminal marked switch on the selinoid to? Guess a picture or drawing would help.
#4 on the instruction sheet that came with it plainly says( ATTACH BATTERY CABLE AND SWITCH WIRE. The switch wire should be capable of handling 25A. Switch wire to where?
Thanks Lee
