Live from Houston

I won't attempt to do an official Live from but will post when I can. Maybe others will add to this. It started raining last night about 3:00 am. Rained pretty hard for a while think it stopped about 6:00am this morning. They started stacking at 8:00 this morning on the shutdown area of the track. Got here about 8:30, about 15 or so in line. Almost 10:00 probably 30-35 in line. I think original plan was to start parking us this afternoon. Now looking like we will spend the night on track and park in the morning. I'll try and post a few photos and hopefully someone with more computer skills than me will add to this thread. Mike McMahan 2543 H/SA

AcuAeather app on my phone shows heavy storms today at Baytown. Thought this morning I would go on down there, until I saw that. The grassy Sportsman parking areas are likely very soft. Don't need my motor home stuck. Hate to miss seeing everybody.

I guess a postponement probably makes too much sense......Maybe with the reduced entries we can all park on the pavement?????.....

Ed I realized this morning I haven't been pulled out at Houston in ten years, then I remembered that I haven't been to Baytown in ten years!

Last time I went there after a lot of rain, I thought I was going to need towed out. Rocked my motor home back and forth enough I finally got it moving. That was my gasoline powered motor home. Lighter than this diesel. This one would have probably would sunk up to the hubs in that stuff.

I got up this morning thinking I should just go on down there, until I saw another weather forecast. Guess I'll sit here, wishing I was there.

Don't you forfeit your entry if you don't go?

Lots of people parked already. Ground is suprisingly firm. Sun is out. Tech is open. Looks like today and most of tomorrow will be good days.
