stock turnout question for Maple Grove
E-town had about 115 for divisional, but since it's a National event/points etc. and much more limited, how big a field about does it come down to?
And compared to the Dutch?... |

Man, you guys hav the cars! 115? Wow!

Re: stock turnout question for Maple Grove
The Maple Grove Lucas race about 2006 had 155 cars enter in Stock. That would be for a 128 car field so close to 30 cars did not get in eliminations.

Lee I had my Firebird LT-1 stocker then. Made the morning run and it was decent.....never gave a thought to trying to run faster and then watched myself slide down the sheet as cars just kept coming........I was in fine and redlighted rd 1 for the umpteenth time in that car.....LOL I think I was .65 ish under and around number 110 ? That was the old indexes.....before they lowered them...and A/FIA |
Re: stock turnout question for Maple Grove
Just wondering -
Are the Divisional races limited to a 128-car field, or is it all-run based on your qualifying position? |
Re: stock turnout question for Maple Grove
Divisionals are 128, same with Nat'ls (which is never an issue, other than Indy). Opens are all-run. Back when I raced, Tom Baird made it to the final at the Dutch Classic one year, it was round eight (I think 140-150 or so Stockers made round one).
