Re: Olds exhaust gasket?
Greg, have you looked at the Cometic website? They may have an MLS style exhaust gasket. I didn't have the greatest luck with those embossed copper gaskets, on anything. I'll tell you what did work though. I used the Mr. Gasket Ultra Seals, and I sprayed them with that dry film moly spray. I've been using that stuff on good gaskets, they don't stick, and you can reuse them a few times.

Re: Olds exhaust gasket?
Greg,
Mr. Gasket #7170 from. Also available in aluminum; #7170A. The seal depends on your header flange. Ours work just fine (over & over), and are far superior to the Ultra-Seals which burn out the middle of the center ports. Jerry |

That's why I was asking...went to put the new headders on & both sides had the middle burned out! It was Dads idea to go with a copper gasket. THANKS 4 the help guys! ;) oh P.S. new headders are Heddman that I had some custom work done to.

Re: Olds exhaust gasket?
Greg try MAXX Performance #170 solid copper exhaust gaskets.

Re: Olds exhaust gasket?
Another option is Remflex, some sort of graphite fiber, supposed to seal well and hold up.
