Innaugural Stock/Super Stock Challenge at Beaver Springs
 

$5,000 to win S/SS combo race on July 12, 2009. Based on 64 cars. $2000 r/u, $600 semi, $150 rd money starting w/3rd rd loss. Open to all legal IHRA and NHRA Stock and Super Stock cars! $200 entry day of the race or $175 preregistering by emailing jim@wheels-up-racing.com.

This race in run in conjunction with the 6th Annual York Nostalgia Nationals! There is a test n tune on Saturday from 10-4. Gates open at 8 both days. Time trials begin at 9 on Sunday with elims scheduled for 2.

Bryan i got a knew phone and when they downloaded the numbers into it you and your brothers numbers did not download. Could you give me your numbers again or just call with them.

This should be a great race. Some of the best Stock / Super Stock racers in the area racing in front of the legends of the sport. It would be an honor to even meet some of these old timers much less race in front of them.
I personally, am looking forward to going back the "the Beaver" (as it is locally known).

Last time I was at Beaver Springs was the real inaugural.
It was 4 of JULY 1976. Had a great time.


That was 33 years ago Damn I must be getting old.

WOW!!!! That's what I have to say about this race. If you like nostalgia race cars and missed this I'm sorry. Over 50 old super stockers, old gassers altereds you name the type of race car it was here. Wall to wall spectators and a picture perfect day. We had a 24 car turnout in the combo. Not a bad start for the first time but I wished it had been better. We got to show our stuff to alot of race fans. Lot's of people in the pits asking questions and looking the cars over. They even had a flag starter for one round of the nostalgia super stockers. Alot of real bad reaction times. If you weren't here this year make sure to get there next year. The weekend was complete for the Worner family as Bryan defeated Marty Rinehart Jr. for the combo $$$. The purse was reduced to $2500 win because of car count but not a bad days work. I'm looking forward to next year already. Thanks to everyone who showed up hope many more come next year.
