Re: Old School SG
Boy did that bring back memories!
thanks for posting. I'm going to email the link to Steve Cohen, I'm not sure he knows there's film of the Ramblin Nash and his bad 80's hair. :D |
Re: Old School SG
I think that Yellow vette ( Moose ) still races in div. 1

Re: Old School SG
That hair was pretty bad!
Its a shame the class evolved as drastic as it did. |

sting of the lost revenue would stir some action to go back to "almost" full throttle racing, with only trans brakes. |
Re: Old School SG
That would be cool to see. I doubt that Steve Cohen would grow that hair back out like that though......

Re: Old School SG
I wish they would make a change back, even if they lowered the indexes by a second or so. I don't think it would fly with alot of the current racers, but if the right ones jumped on board and supported the issue it may not completely fall on deaf ears. I honestly believe NHRA wants TD and TS and could care less about whether the .90 classes come or go, its just a matter of time. I remember seeing the Modified Class racers protesting at Indy before their official demise, and you see how that turned out.

Re: Old School SG
Hey Kenny, how'd that intake work out?

Re: Old School SG
i was a kid when mickey crashed there are still some parts from his vega in the shop! back then is when my dad hooked up with bob bond and started s/g racing...he said before all he used was a bolt in the floor as a throttle stop! he is sooo lost with all the electronics! he wishes they would run the cars like they did in the old days!
i just like all those dry hops too! i used to watch my dad do em all the time now a days if i did them her would kick my a**!!! |
Re: Old School SG
boy it was neat watching that old clip, those was the days of side by side SG racing, people in the stands could not really see the throttle stops come on in high gear. it was not the "Stop & Go" stuff we have today and nobody in the stands can understand, oh well everybody keeps on telling me I'm old school, but this video proves how much neater SG was at one time to watch.
