tri pod front ???
Have an older dragster with a straight front axle want to put a tri pod front or narrow the axle down to get a little more contemporary look to it-- problem is the frame comes to a point not raised or boxed like the newer cars are---any one got any ideas how to do this or has anyone done this---do not want to get into a major project or lot of expense here---Thanx fed

FED
The front on my dragster is a bi-pod in a V shape with the lower strut leading (ahead of) the spindle and the upper strut trailing(behing) the spindle. I fabricated them from streamlined chrome moly tubing and used 3/4X .188 wall round tubing, 3/8" aircraft bolts, with four CM tabs per side to attach them to the frame. If you want some photos send me an e-mail Bill Baer E-mail :great baer @ sbcglobal.net |
