Ford 2150 2 barrel

Does anybody have any actual flow numbers on a 1.08 2150 carb?

Jim, here is a copy from a Ford forum.

The autolite 2100 (2 Barrel) came in sizes ranging from 190 to over 400cfm. They have an engineering number cast into the body that identifies the size. There is a clock face cast into the right side of the carburetor. The carburetor size can be found right in this clock face. For example with 1.12 cast into the aluminum; the 1.12 indicates venturi size.

According to the Ford Carburetor Guide from Pony Carburetors, flow figures for the Autolite 2100 carbs are as follows:
.98 venturi = 190cfm
1.01 = 245
1.02 = 240
1.08 = 287
1.14 = 300
1.21 = 351
1.23 = 356
1.33 = 424

Brian, do you know if Ford rated their 2 barrel carbs on a different vacuum spec than the 4 barrels, like Holley did? Considering a 1.08" Autolite 4100 is rated at 480 cfm, I believe, I`m just kinda sceptical that even the biggest 2 barrel (likely from a 69-72 429 2 barrel), would be that close in size.

My computer only accepts 1 1/2" Hg or "actual flow numbers" so I was hoping someone had actual flow numbers. I tried the 40% thing to convert the 3" Hg numbers to 1 1/2" Hg but the results I got were too good.
Brian, what size carb is on Brian's Comet?

Jim,

Brian's Comet as well as Hrenko's all have the 1.08. We nicknamed it "Wheezy" for it struggling for air! Quite the restriction on that motor.

If you dig into SAE standards there is a flow rating for card as I remeber it is 1.5 for 2V 3.0 for 4Vs and there is one for 1Vs
