This Saturday at Quaker City--Night of Lightning and Thunder
 

My home track, Quaker City Motorsports Park in Salem Ohio. I work there as announcer, among other duties as needed. This Saturday, August 4, is the Night of Lightning and Thunder (and has NOTHING to do with the weather).

Jet semi, jet dragsters, jet funny cars, nitro cars, front engine dragsters, 1/4 burnout wars, and more. Also the Buckeye Stock/Super Stock Association, with NHRA/IHRA-legal S/SS cars, plus Nostalgia/SS welcome. Also weekly bracket program. Should be a full day and night of racing. Gates open at 9 am; TCR and Jr Dragsters at 10 am; big cars at 1 pm (including S/SS)...I think the show cars (Jets, etc) start at 6 pm.
