1969 396, 325 or 350 hp version???
Is there any benefit to one or the other? Is the 350hp cam worth the 20HP hit?

Go ya one better. Is the cubic inches of 31 with a POS intake manifold worth 31 hp? 427/390 hp rated at 371.

I have the 396/350 and it shows a lot of promise but I've been fighting electrical/fuel problems so I haven't made a good run this year.

Here is a way to think about it.
325 hp - G/SA 3690 lbs 12.00 index 350 hp - F/SA 3740 lbs 11.85 index So the camshaft would have to be worth about .2 , In a car that heavy, that would mean at least 30 hp net through the curve. |
