SA Stock Rocker vs SA Roller Rocker
Getting parts ready to move from Pure Stock to Stock.
I have Self Aligning Stock Stamped Rockers and going to a PAC Beehive Spring recommended for my cam. Looks like many used the Stock Rockers successfully. However recommended to get SA Roller Rockers. Crane and Scorpion seem to be the most popular. They have Roller Bearings in them though seem reliable. Need advice on the most reliable set up? Dan |

Re: SA Stock Rocker vs SA Roller Rocker
That was real good info for me. I went back to the stamp steel on my 396/325 motor, like the way I ran it in 2003. I do have a set of cheaper Roller Rockers knocks off, beside the fact I have to go for longer stud, I also really need custom shorter pushrods to correct the geometry of the rocker, sits off center on the valve stem, due to cutting head to mininium plus square deck the block. plus I don't trust those rockers.
So I am using the Crane stamp steel rockers I had., Never had a problem ,never broke a rocker arm. Seems no HP loss for me. Stock BBC 7/16 studs anyway, motor will see 6600 tops. Will Lamprecht 396/325 |
