Double Grade Points @ SGMP Opens
 

Two NHRA Div II opens scheduled for weekend of October 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. See South Georgia Motorsports Park website for information. I've been told that information is also on Facebook. I personally don't think the division is doing enough to hype these races and would like for them to be successful to give NHRA Div II sportsman racers more chances at earning grade points. Of course they are not limited to Div II racers only.

Plan on going, my first National Open race. I have a couple of questions maybe you could answer.

Will this be run as a 1/8th mile for stock?
And, is this a combo race for stock/superstock?

The National Opens are ran 1/8 mile in D2 and Stock and SS are ran separately.

In Div 1, first round is random pairings with 2 lanes for Stock and 2 lanes for Super Stock. After 1st round there is a ladder with both classes being combined. Also if there is a second round bye, it SHOULD go to the best winning rt from the first round.
