Gainesville ?
At the time I'm posting this, it appears that DRC has quit posting results. The finals of most of the Sportsman classes have not been posted.
Is there a reason for that ? Will the finals be run on another day ? Perhaps at another event ? Or have they already been run & just not posted ? They posted the "Summary of Eliminations", in every category. No final rounds mentioned in most of the Sportsman categories. What am I missing here ? |
Re: Gainesville ?

But they WERE running today @ Gainesville. I was keeping up with it because a Pontiac powered car made it to the S/ST final. All the Sportsman classes were posted, down thru the semi-final round. But the final round results were NOT posted. Maybe it WAS rain, as others posted. Nothing said about rain on DRC, as of the last time I checked. Just saw the previous post. Thanks for that info ! :) |
Re: Gainesville ?
From NHRA site ..
.Super Stock will pit Robbie Draughon against Kevin Riner, to be completed at the Division 2 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Rockingham Dragway the weekend of Oct. 16-17, while the Stock finale will feature Keith Bennett taking on Brenda Grubbs during the Mopar Express Lane NHRA SpringNationals Presented By Pennzoil at Houston Raceway Park the weekend of Oct. 23-25. In the Super classes, it will be Joseph Moeckel versus Allan Ackles in Super Comp, Christopher Lewis versus Larry Forbes in Super Gas, and Jimmy Daniel versus Jonathan Anderson in Super Street. Super Comp and Super Street will be completed at the South Georgia Motorsports Park National Open next weekend, Super Gas at the aforementioned Rockingham LODRS. |

Re: Gainesville ?
NHRA knew that there was weather coming, they could've had just the finals set for Sunday, but they cancelled one round scheduled for Saturday. Then there was drizzling on Sunday mid day which held up the program, then right after sportsman race at around 3 pm, it started to rain hard. Kind of poor planning on NHRA's part, could have at least got Lucas oil participants done.
