Re: 60 foot times
I am sure they are. But back then all I got was a hand written time slip with et and MPH.

Re: 60 foot times
I'd bet that soon after 60' times were added (80's?), they went down quickly. Same as when reaction times were added; they made poor and mediocre drivers better.

Re: 60 foot times
I remembered that after I submitted the reply. I think all the times started in the late 80's or so. Also somewhere in that time (70's) stockers went to 9 inch slicks from 7 inch.

Re: 60 foot times
When I ran my 87 Mustang for the first time in April 87, the slips had 60' and RT.

Re: 60 foot times
Our Stockers in that range were about .10 - .12 slower to 60.
1/2 due to tires and suspension and the other 1/2 Convertor. |

Re: 60 foot times
Getting rid of the 7" tires made the ET's and 60's better.
You could run more gear, converter and for the sticks more clutch. Then the suspension changes to Cal tracks rather than slappers (and other Fixes) allowed even more. |
