2000 s10 gt/tc
My dad has been picking away at this truck for over a year now, nothing special but the old dog (73 now) just can’t kick the habit. Everything done here at home, nothing extravagant but it should be able to get the job done for him in the local ACSSA series and maybe the odd D1 event. It’s a 2000 model, and we are planning for GT/TC with a ‘68 327/250 combo. Most likely go with a glide, but we have a 350 now. Would like to hear your opinions on that. It’s got a 12 bolt with ladder bars to keep it simple and effective, and plan to stay small tire like a 30x10.5 radial

Re: 2000 s10 gt/tc
I built a similar truck almost 20 yrs ago and had several winning seasons. Things to consider..... trucks are nose heavy, so spend the effort up front, headers are a ton of work unless you opt for fender wells and sacrifice front tire size, pg trans works fine but you need a 198 1st gear. Also you need to spend the money for good double adj. front shocks. Hope this helps and good luck,.

How is this truck coming along?

We?ve been out with it over the last couple years, no rocket ship but it?s been consistent. We opted to put a milder camshaft in it to make it little easier on parts so it?s down on power. But it?s been running .20 under while being about 100 pounds heavy.
