Any of the diesels that have the new style piezo style fuel injectors are going to have problems running different fuels ( or at least that's what the OEMs are saying ), but that remains to be seen. If the fuel is clean and well filtered, even the common rail ( Dodge, GM) and the HEUI style (Powerstroke) can run other types of fuel. That is why I prefer the older generation diesels; their lower operating pressures and less sensitive components allow easier experimentation (ie that if you mess up it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to fix). The DPF may get affected if the fuel used causes more soot to be produced (whatever it may be), but there are bypass kits available to get around the DPF.
