Re: Old School SG
Being able to win a National Event old school style is still just as possible as anytime in the past. There are just not as many doing it the old way anymore so the laws of averages go with the new style racing.
Ted Seipel runs the old school and won the Las Vegas spring National Event.
Ted I believe is 75 years old or that is what they announced for the final and was running 23 year old Justin Lamb. Ted crossed the finish line at 116 MPH if I remember correctly and was looking back at Justin closing in on him very quickly. Justin crossed at 163 MPH again if I remember correctly and lost to Ted's old school ride.
You had to be there as the crowd went crazy when Ted's win light came on.
The older guy did it!!!! HIS WAY!!!
If fact in the last 6 cars at that event there were 2 running the old school way. Both were 70+ years old and both running old school style.
Both were using delay boxes and throttle stops just not big motor high dollar cars.
I enjoyed the racing and seeing the old guys do it their own way.
My 2 Cents Also an old guy.
