I'm bored and on my 3rd beer...so I'll make a post.....All the modern stuff is just "Tools" that are used to help win races.....Almost everyone agrees that a faster car has an edge in drag racing. If you don't recognize this fact your blind as a bat,,,,You cannot look in 2 directions at one time and when racing is as close as it is today...being the faster car is an advantage. Not many drivers can win being out there in front....some can but that is a very small number of drivers. Big motors, weather stations and purpose built cars all help a racer win rounds. Nothing helps if you can't manage all the technology you have and none of it is just automatic.....Todays winners usually have a game plan and some are dialers and some are holders.......You can become successful with almost any setup but it's that little edge that gets you past the tough rounds. A lot of times the edge is the driver himself.......you can't buy that edge....It is just experience and a guys intuition. I think big motor Super racing is fine but I would like to see the indexes moved up. The cars are better, more powerful and safer so move the damn indexes up. It would reduce the t-stop event time and make for a better show....Move them up to 8.0, 9.0 and 10.0....Todays average dragster runs well into the 7's....most S/G cars are easily 8 second cars and S/ST is about the only categorie with people that are not always way under the index powerwise........

Pocono race was cancelled damn.....time for another beer.....LOL
