Re: Throttle stop down track?
It's not much of an accomplishment, but I did manage to be #1 qualifier with a 6.301 (1/8-mile) at the recent D6 National Open, and ran a 6.300 1st round (then screwed up and ran 6.292 with too much stripe in the next round, trying to decide whether to race the nose or tire of the opponent), all at around 103 mph. The next slowest mph was around 113, while most were in the mid-upper 120's (and at least one over 130 mph). I was using a borrowed Dedenbear stop, hooked to a switch on my shifter. No timer at all, and manually shifting. I have good visibility in my car, so I can see them coming up on me. If I can afford it, I will run the upcoming D6 LODRS race the same way, should be fun.
Regards,
