One thing that I have in my files, is that when Keith Krenza got the car in 69', it had a welded brace in the trunk (a girdle) attaching both shock towers??
I'm guessing whoever had the car first, must have known something.
And smart enough to yank the transmission, before selling the car.
Keith does not remember when or who he sold the car to. Guessing late 1971, as the car sat for over a year and half in his garage.
