Larry,

I very similar service by Auto Meter, I had purchased a used Auto Meter
tach with shift light and sent it in to them to check over and repair a broken
reset button...

They repaired the broken reset button, installed new wiring, cleaned every
thing, calibrated it and shipped it back to me for a total of $35.00

I sent the guy I had delt with a thank you email and he responded back
thank you, we do not get much response except complaints.
