I remember Dick Landy stating that one of the reasons his Coronet survived was because he was one of the few (only one?) to neutralize the body after the acid dip. According to him, the corrosion would very slowly continue unless it was neutralized.
By now we realize that a LOT of class cars got the acid treatment whether they were factory built or not. I wonder how many we lost because they simply lost enough strength to be unusable?
