Back in the early 70`s I owned a 65 Valiant Signet, with a 235HP 273 4 speed. A buddy sold me an Edelbrock D4B intake, and I remember having to oval out the mounting bolt holes to make the bolts go in. I think the angle of the intake bolts were different in 64 and 65, maybe somebody more familiar will chime in. As for hydraulic lifters , mine had solids, and I had thought that all 273s did, even the 2 barrels. I could be wrong.
