I'll try to make it...not 100% sure though. Have been to the Marcus Dairy once (1999)...Wanted to visit Dover in the final years but never had the chance. I do recall Ralph Feola and John Gunn cleaning house at the "bucks-up" Super Stock events from National Dragster articles in that time frame....
I've been on the Dover website....and saw the discussion of the final day it was run...and the reason(s) why the track closed. Do I understand they SHUT DOWN after time trials were run...or did they finish the day?
Also, what's your opinion on why it closed?
