Does it count? Yes and no.
They were allowed in 'Modified' eliminator when, in the latter half of the 1970s 'til (the category was cancelled in 1981), in a combined Modified/Competition eliminator due to a low turn out of NHRA class legal cars
locally. Ditto Stock/Super Stock combo eliminator.
