Around here, before the more universally accepted classes of Pro: 11.99 and quicker, Heavy: 12.00-13.99 and Street: 14.00 and slower, were used, I can remember at Puyallup Raceway, if you wanted to race for money there were: Bracket 1, Bracket 2 and Bracket 3,,, 1 being fastest and 3 being slowest. If you just wanted to run for trophies there were: Bracket A, Bracket B and Bracket C,, there again,, A was fastest and C was slowest. This numerical/alphabetical system didn't last but a season or two.
