ss283,
I don't know Bill personally, but IMO you were WAY off base to launch an attack on him, especially since I do not think you are correct in who we were generally talking about. Yes, Gene Snow was mentioned in the conversation. But, I believe the REAL subject of this conversation was Regis Lepage, not Gene Snow as your links would lead us to believe (particularly since this thread is located in the .90 Heads Up Class Racing forum, and the thread was started by a .90 Heads Up Class Racing competitor).
In addition, had you read the story you linked, you would have read:
"While it was stipulated that he have no contact with children under seventeen, clearly spelled out in the conditions was that Snow would not be subjected to conditions normally assigned to a sex offender."
Thus, though Mr. Snow doesn't have to register as a sex offender, I'm not sure how he could hang out at the races with at least 10,000 kids under 17 years of age there. So, as Bill stated, problem solved.
The reason people are upset with the case against Mr. Lepage is because he did not serve jail time. However, he IS a registered sex offender, as can be seen here:

I don't know for certain, but I would guess that contact with minors is prohibited as a registered sex offender, especially considering the fact that Mr. Lepage was convicted of possession of sexually explicit material of a minor under 12 years of age.
