This is where the "approved" aftermarket front end needs a serious look
The current Super Stock Modified rules, although it says "Approved" aftermarket front end, there is not a single aftermarket offering that has been accepted for a RWD car. Yes, there is a lot of "Creativity" I have seen in some RWD cars that in the spirit of the rule book guidance, does not meet the current rule or is borderline. I believe those cars have not been inspected thoroughly by Tech or they decided to let it go.

On the other hand, for Comp Eliminator Super Modified class, as applicable to RWD cars, the rules say the following:

RWD must retain complete OEM stock front-suspension system or may utilize generally available aftermarket steel front-suspension components (i.e., upper and lower control/A-arms, springs, fasteners, rods, etc. similar to the original/stock components. Mounting points must remain in original location. The use of adjustable heim (or heim-type) joints permitted.

So, it is clear the distinction between the SS Modified and the Comp Super Modified rules as regards to the allowance of aftermarket front suspension components.
