It had been fifteen years since I last been to US 43 Raceway, formerly owned by Jim Butler. My only goal tonight was to get one of the Q-jets tuned to run decently...the hell commenced as soon as I unloaded the car lol. Neither of my two carbs would make a clean pass down the track...I was just about to the point of heaving them into the treeline.

5 minutes before first round I tore one of them completely down leaning the primary jets, stiffening the air door spring, taping the secondary rod slots on the gasket and installed CV rods on a K hanger. It made a clean pass, but the car was a real dog all night. Ended up going 8 rounds losing in the final. One of these days I will own a good Q-jet haha...
