By those pictures Dale the seat back isnt even in contact with the crossbar...only the head rest adjustment sliders and I see no attachment pin you speak of. I'm more comfortable with my set-up (Mustang and Camaro) than those pictured in the Corvette. The bungs in the crossbar are for harness attachment...nothing connects to the seat back or headrest. This is confirmed when they state "full seat adjustability".
