Default Re: Woodfin's SS GT/TB construction series

Some "Thank You" acknowledgements are in order:

* My Son Jeff Woodfin. Jeff is also an experienced racer and a valuable part of Team Woodfin. With each team member I rely on them in different ways. With Jeff, since he has considerable time and experience drag racing he understands the needs of a driver. Just to see him standing near with air gauge in hand has a calming effect. All I have to do is raise my hand and he is there to see what I need. Jeff is also an experience and gifted athlete. He is my coach, adviser and trusted partner.

* Monte Pannell, Monte completes the core threesome when at the track. Between Jeff, Monte and myself the have the experience, strength, stamina to get the job done. Monte and Jeff are my physical strength that has gradually faded from the old man. They load, unload, setup, see after all the details. Their help is priceless.

In addition, between the three we have excellent problem solving skills. Also, Monte is an experience fabricator. The Super 10 could not have been completed in 10 months without him.

* My mental coach, Dr. Ron. I do not know how he does what he does, you know. We take a leisurely drive, have a late supper, and he tunes me up yet I am hardly aware of what he is doing. After I make a run I can reflect back and understand his influence. He gives me focus and tunnel vision at the tree in addition to blocking out distractions.

*My two trusted mechanics, Ken Freeman and Ricky Gramling.

Ken and Ricky each add talents and experience at the shop. Ken says, "we are drag racers, we only work on cars to support our drag racing" [and there is a piece of truth to that saying]

Ken is a good wiring, plumbing, and detail man in addition to overall good mechanic. valuable skills for a race car building team.

Ricky did much of the welding. He has the patients to do close fit up work. He did the cage and much of the other fabrication and welding for the Super 10.

Ken and Ricky are two more reason we were able to go from a core truck to at the track racing in 10 months.

I have more Thank You notes, stand by
