Yeah, I'd thought about that. But then I thought about how many Chevy guys are doing real good with the little 305 sbc. So, I just assumed that maybe there'd be some out there who like the look of the Bird, but wanted a 305 engine. The '80 that I mentioned was the 2nd quickest Pontiac qualifier at some of the races I posted results for.

There's a guy in my hometown who bought an '81 T/A brand new. He got a 305 because he said that's the only way he could get the 4-speed he wanted. Don't have many miles. He brings it to the local car show occasionally. He also owns an original '77 Bandit Bird. A guy that raced with me one year, had it new. He'd drive it to my shop, to work on a '69 GTO bracket car we built for him.

Hey, that's just a little ancient Pontiac trivia for ya'll, free of charge. Probably won't mean anything to anybody but me. But, it's just a little bit of my Pontiac history.
