Dad and I would build the neighborhood ice rink in our backyard. Some times we would be skating on it before thanksgiving. We had a flood light on each end and chicken wire over the windows. My dad would repair the broken sticks, the blade. Dad would sharpen skates for all that came over to play. Spent a lot of money on friction tape. My idol was Gordy Howe and the NHL had six teams, Detroit, Chicago, Boston, New York, Toronto and the Canadians. I’m no expert on skating rinks but have been around them enough to have an educated opinion.
I payed my way through school playing basketball.

Racing gives me a place to still be competitive. Bottom line is we will support races if and when we can. For me Top Stock was great fun.
