These double adjuster have a lot of thread engagement, they are the same length as the adjuster that came out (5 inches). I set the bars up to be the same length they were before, and you can see the markings of there the old jam nuts were on the broken adjusters. there is that much thread engagement on the new ones as well. It looks like a lot less, mostly because the adjuster nut on the new adjusters is much shorter than the old ones. It appears to have less engagement, but its has at least an inch of engagement on each end.
