Re: '70 Nova V/SA to F/SA Makeover
Well, my weekend at Numidia was definitely a good one. The first race, I had a traction issue second round which seems to be remedied by tightening the rear shocks a few clicks. The second race, I made it to the final where I was runner up to Matt Lisa who was doing a kick ***** job driving, including winning a tough heads up in the semis. I had some weird ignition related "gremlins" appearing throughout the weekend, but the worst was a hiccup halfway down the track in the final round. Then, after the paperwork was all filled out, the car died halfway back to the trailer and had no spark. I'm going to use some of my winnings to treat the car to a fresh distributor (replacing the current one that came out of a 90s pickup at the junkyard with quite a few miles) and coil, and maybe I'll try and get a hold of an MSD tester to see if I can find anything wrong with the box. The car was very consistent overall, following the weather station almost perfectly, so no complaints there. Going from #96 out of 99 on the q sheet to the final round felt pretty cool too. I'll be setting sail for Epping in a few weeks, then will be swapping cars and headed West for the "Big Go."
