I've got a 406 in my '68 with the RPM intake, 750 mech. sec. Holley, unported iron heads - I used the Comp XE284 hydraulic....240/246 @ .050, .507/.510 lift. It revs cleanly to 7000 and with a stock convertor in the 700R4 and 4.11 gears it runs 8.20s in the eighth (on Nitto street tires). I really like that cam - no shortage of grunt from 2000 on up. For what it's worth.
