Default Midwest Class Racers honor Gene Bichlmeier

9/13/14
Thunder Valley Dragways
Marion, SD

The Midwest Class Racers Association honored Gene Bichlmeier and his wife Lavone with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Gene started drag racing in 1965. His first successes came in Modified Production with his high winding, stick shifted, small block Chevrolets, and has continued this tradition in Super Stock.

Gene has supported Stock and Super Stock racing, on and off the track. Gene has worked tirelessly to have the fastest stick shifted Super Stock car in the nation.

He has won local, divisional, and national events all across the United States. He has also set numerous National records.

As hard as he works on his own program, he has always had time to help other class and bracket racers with their rides.

Gene has always been there offering help or advice, simply put, Gene Bichlmeier is probably one of the hardest working men in Super Stock.

Always standing right next to Gene is his wife, Lavone, supporting his dreams. Behind every good man stands a good woman, and Gene has been blessed with Lavone.

Congratulations to Gene and Lavone for this Lifetime Achievement Award, and Thank You for all your help and advice to keep all of us a Class Act.

We all look forward to racing with you for many years to come.
