Not saying racers were not having traction issues, just saying it was not wide spread. I think over all the race went well, the weather was perfect, and as many of you know, Maple Grove weather can be unpredictable.

The car count was also good, I was told 540 plus, with most of them coming from Stock and Super Stock... it seemed like the old days as far as car counts go. We had some down time, but I think for the most part it was a good race.

The only issue I had for last weeks race was test and tune. I did not test, but for $125 you would think you could get test runs in a timely manner. If you did not get to lanes early you mostly likely had to wait a long time or miss out completely. I don't like to put down any class, but the Alcohol cars make the test and tune very difficult for the rest of the racers. They called them in sessions, but it never seems to work well. I was in the lanes when Alcohol was in the lanes and it was 10 or 15 minutes with nothing going down the track as the drivers were getting suited up and strapped in their cars. You think they could have run some cars down the track while the alcohol cars were getting ready... I don't get that.

I don't know what the answer is, but for me I would not do a test and tune at points race... you never know how the day will go... its just not worth it. Opens seem to work out much better.

Anyway, it was good to be back in D1. My next race will be at Bristol next week.
And I thought 75.00 was expensive here in D4 for test at tune. The problem we have down here is on tnt there is no track prep by the track. So you can’t learn anything as the next day for qualifying the track is prepped….
