I am running a 9 inch radial on my GT/TD truck, but I don't run a transbrake as the truck works well enough with the stocker i.e. leaf spring and cal tracks setup to hook everywhere.

You would need to likely make a few changes if you go the transbrake route as you obviously would be going from loaded chassis to unloaded at launch. 9 inch radial tires might prove problematic for a transbrake hit, just like they are for stick cars.
