I think that you should be congratulated for getting your car out and down track. Another stocker at play is a good thing!

Like others have said, more rear-end gear will help quite a bit, as will a higher first gear in your trans. You may want to start with the former, since it's easy and inexpensive. Then, you may want to consider working with your computer to find a good tune.

If you're running a stock computer, you may want to consider trying a Moats board and Binary Editor, along with a wide-band. Alternatively, you could look into buying a used DFI system, which will set you back a little more dough, but may give you more options in the long run.
