Default The Story of Staff SGT Henry Garcia

My memory of stories of my great-uncle, Staff Sgt Henry Garcia, begins with him staying in Los Angeles with my grandmother and mother, him sleeping on the couch with his parachute as his pillow. Getting dressed in the morning and departing by ship the next morning for Hawaii. That was the last time any family member ever saw him until his remains were returned to the family in March 1985, the month and year my grandmother passed. She never knew of his return. Edward James Olmos, actor, gave a Memorial Day dedication to Henry's life in 1986. https://www.army.mil/article/65940
