I bet if you put the 6-banger in the Challenger, (as is after the California tow trip)), run SS/X,Y or Z, you probably would have set the record.

On the 68' Winternationals. I think the SS/EA record was a soft 12.20 or so, set by either a 67' GTX 440/375HP or 67' Camaro 396/325HP in
late 67'. The 68 GSS 440 Dart ran pretty much 12.00's throughout, but I'll check it for you.

The Challenger would have had to have some mods to be able to run Superstock. But it would have made a killer street race car at the time.
We were going to run it in B/G with a clutchflite trans.
