Default Re: Dutch classic

Back when I raced, the Dutch was always one of my favorite races of the year. Fast air (most times), lots of cars, Class Eliminations and just an awesome next-to-the-last race of the year. Weather, as stated, can yo-yo from year to year. I, too, have been there when it was cold, and warm. 2002, it rained out, it was rescheduled on top of the Hagerstown MD S/SS race weekend. We went to the make-up on Saturday and raced before going to Maryland; it never got above 46* at the Grove. Other years have been chilly; other years 80* or more (we knew when we woke up and could comfortably wear shorts it wasn't 'good' record-setting weather). It has rained more often than not every year seemingly since 2004 ('06 was the last year I went). The Finish Line Bar and Grill across the street from the one entrance was always a popular destination when rained out for the day. When I raced, my three favorite races were always late in the year (Indy, the Dutch, and the Mason-Dixon S/SS Fall Classic in Hagerstown) so I almost had to half-wish the summer away to get to the races I enjoyed...lol.

With good weather, I think you all will enjoy 'The Dutch'.
