Ford Racing Announces “Countdown to the Cup” NHRA Contingency Program
· Ford Racing is proud to announce a special new “Countdown to the Cup” bonus contingency of $300 for 2014 Ford vehicles earning qualifying or better points toward the 2014 NHRA Manufacturers’ Cup. Racers in NHRA’s “Stock” classes are eligible for this special contingency at all NHRA races between Sept. 2 and Nov. 16, 2014.
· All Ford racers are required to register with Ford Racing to be eligible for any contingency payout. Registered racers are provided contingency decals specific for their series and class, and an exclusive Ford Racing drivers’ suit patch.
DEARBORN – Sept. 1, 2014 – Ford Racing is proud to announce a special new “Countdown to the Cup” bonus contingency of $300 for 2014 Ford vehicles earning qualifying or better points toward the 2014 NHRA Manufacturers’ Cup. Racers in NHRA’s “Stock” classes are eligible for this special contingency at all NHRA races between Sept. 2 and Nov. 16, 2014.
In addition, if Ford Racing wins the 2014 Manufacturers’ Cup, all participants who contributed points in those classes will receive a special Manufacturers’ Cup jacket commemorating the team win.

Ford Racing Drag Racing Competition Manager Jesse Kershaw added, “We have won the NHRA Manufacturers’ Cup three years in a row thanks to extraordinary team efforts and Ford is dedicated to supporting our teams as they try to keep that streak alive for a fourth consecutive year.“
