Default Re: Paul dilcher-on the road again!

Something that alot of people don't know is that when we were Indy with a spun bearings, we took our car back to Dayton to try to get it together again.

We were frantically trying to find a new crank, and get other work done, and I had to run back up to Akron (nearly a three hour drive each way) to get some parts from my shop.

Keith was working on the teardown, getting the rods reworked, etc.

So we found a crank at Gary Stanton's in Kentucky, about 4 or more hours from Dayton and we had no way to get it. I was still on my way back from Akron, and Keith was still turning wrenches.

Keith talked to Paul Dilcher who was on the road to Indy. So, Paul went out of his way, picked up the crank, and delivered it to Keith's shop. And we got it all back together and back to Indy.

Paul is indeed a good friend, and a rare individual.
