Smile Stock entries at Indy

As I am typing this at 6:30PM Eastern time, there are 115 entries in Stock at Indy. Tomorrow it goes to Grade 6; it is conceivable that Stock will be at the quota of 150 in the next couple of days. Totally insane.

As of now, Stock is almost full and over a hundred entries left in Super Stock.

That seems strange, any reason?

Its not rocket science guys, its pretty simple.

Make a copy of the stk list when it fills up and then compare it to when it closes the Monday before the event. On average 25%-40% of the original entry's are not on the final sheet when an event fills at a grade 6 or above.

Some racers are holding spots for other racers/friends with 1-5 grade points. NHRA really doesn't care about this, because when the event fills up it's creating a demand for more grade points. Which intern makes racers attend 7-8 points meets or national opens (if they can't find someone to hold a spot for them). Its a win for NHRA and a loss for the racer with 1-5 grade points trying to play by the rules.

Ridiculous!, Biggest race of the year. Put the quota back to 180 where it belongs! Was that way for many years and worked out great. I think NHRA is trying to keep the Toyota entries down LOL.
