I know everybody uses different numbers going on and off the stop as well as when to shift. What are some of the lowest numbers people have had success with. I have brought the stop on from .025 all the way down to .001. I've shifted from .091 all the way down to .021. I've even experimented with .001 in the timer and shifting at .021 with 4500 RPM. What kind of experiance have some of you had when trying low?

The shift should come after the car settles down after the launch and varies by the car and track situation.
Some people use a high gear only launch and let the torque converter do all the work. Stop should come on depending on how you want the car to launch. To me it varies by car and track situation and how you want it to launch. Just My 2 Cents Rick Cates |

You can do alot of things to early hopefully not when the light in the bedroom goes off, ive never seen seen many cars that are alike you are doing the right thing with testing when it gets consistent leave it alone!

I agree with Mickey " ive never seen seen many cars that are alike you are doing the right thing with testing when it gets consistent leave it alone"
We shift on the stop @ 1.0 sec out which seems to be more consistent than shifting by RPM.

I just switched from shifting @ .4 out to .6 and believe it or not, that little bit seemed to help out my set-up. I did also raise my low side rpm (cruise rpm) 200. Both of those changes really worked for me. I totally agree with the testing and leave it alone when you find a good & consistant set-up that works for your combination. Now my 330' is the most consistant i've ever seen it. Hopefully it stays that way as we maybe start getting into some cooler weather!
